Re: Newton’s 2nd fLaw

This article is in response to the article entitled “Newton’s 2nd fLaw” by our very own dr|ftking, which can be read, here. Dr|ftking requires no new introduction and I consider his thoughts and idea’s tantamount to the philosophical thoughts of, perhaps the greatest minds of all time.

In this article, I shall attempt to address most of the questions posed by him in his article, in albeit a concise manner. Take note that the paragraphs under quotation marks ( “” ) and italicized are excerpts from his article.

HypoG has lamented that we should rally up all the support to protest the approval of the new NEP if the incumbent government continues on and show them that they have lost that 2/3 margin they have been taking for granted in the past 5 decades.”

The NEP is already heavily criticized and protested in Parliament. However, laws in Malaysia, makes it such that it is illegal to discuss, debate, or even point out the flaws in NEP because, they can always be classified under causing racial duress, being insensitive, or questioning the special position of the Bumiputera’s. Being such, it’s only a matter of time before the government invokes laws from ISA to arrest you, and keep you detained without trial.

However, you have got the gist of what we can do right. The reason why UMNO (It would be inappropriate to call the party making the NEP decisions BN, as clearly the Malaysian term for power sharing is not what you and I, or any other educated man might think it is) dares to push it’s weight around is because they (BN) has over 2/3rd majority support. This is why, Mr-I-will-wield-my-keris-and-wave-it-at-any-apek-as-i-please is able to publically issue a public statement telling MCA to shut the fuck up, and not raise any issues over whatever our DPM who is filled with such great moral fibre, says during a press conference.

If you, for example vote for the opposition, (after you minus all the ghost voting, vote buying, etc) BN will notice a significant drop in the support garnered, and will obviously be more cautious before roaring in public about how they are about to slaughter chinese folks for being geniuses in handling business and money.

“In my defense to his really strong argument , I have pointed out that the stability Malaysia have achieved in the past 5 decades should NOT be neglected due to some economical policies hurting a small percentage of the population . With the help of sleeping partners here and there , the big guns are running the show here .”

Calling the chinese and Indians together as a small percentage of the population is incorrect. They are a sizable minority. It is in my opinion that without all this protectionist and flawed policies, our country would be much, much greater. Sleeping partners or not, why should a lazy and stupid man be paid a salary he does not deserve because his blood makes him a superior (?) Malaysian? SCAD I say.

On your note about dirty politics, this is part and parcel of politics. These dirty measures of dirtying other party names is a time tested tradition that will continue till the end of time. There is no point debating this issue.

“The question we must really ask here , Are we Malaysians ready for the opposition government to take over Malaysia ? Despite the capable leaders , how many of them are worthy to lead our country ?”

No. We are not ready for a complete opposition government taking over the incumbent leaders. Is it the lack of capable leaders? No. The simple explanation is that we are not united, not by a longshot.

Think about it, everybody is obviously going to worry only about whatever fits his best interest.

- The oppressed chinese man (e.g. No sleeping partner, not getting any government contracts etc) will vote for the opposition. One thing is for sure, he probably won’t vote for any religious party. (Which is another thing I dislike, religion has no place in governing any country that has people from all kinds of creed and colour practicing their own religion, regardless of what any fanatic who thinks he is on a dakwah may think).

- The rich chinese who is enjoying all the benefits with BN in power (Being able to secure the aforementioned contracts with sleeping partners, etc) is going to vote for BN. He will also not vote for any religious party to protect his right to eat pork and for the rights of his women to walk around with the shortest of short miniskirts manufactured. (PAS may not have it illegal for chinese to consume pork, but it is common consensus that it does not allow such things. Ignorant perhaps but true, ask any of your chinese friends, you’ll see).

- The average uneducated Indian man would take RM 100 from any party and vote for the corresponding party, no doubt.

-The educated Indian would [probably] vote for DAP and there’s a high likely hood of completely shunning PAS. Not BN because of the constant stream of religious temples being demolished (Oi Macha, how can the temple in your OWN land be higher than the mosque on government land? Ok ok fanatics, gather, come sign petition and make them demolish…[True Story]) Not PAS for the fear of even more fanatical decisions taken against place of worship.

- Overly educated Indian would choose not to vote at all.

There’s no need to elaborate where the Malay’s place their loyalty. It’s a matter of Liberal Muslims not voting for PAS and fundamental muslim’s voting for PAS. Well, something to that extent.

What I have to say next may be a bit derogatory, but the reason why Malay’s remain the majority in this country is for the simple fact that they have the highest rebirth rate. It is common for Malay families (Especially in rural areas) to have 5-10 children. No doubt over time this plays a huge role over Indian families (who average around 2-3) and Chinese families (who sometimes completely refuse to have kids, primarily because the mother might get fat).

When there is no unity among us, there is just no point in debating if Malaysia is ready for an opposition take over. The right question is, When will Malaysia be ready to move forwards?

Signed,

  1. Fantastic .

I’m left speechless after reading this twice over . Can’t believe you pulled out the race card here . Mad Respect ! . And you’re right when stating that people make decisive votes to suit their best interest , may it be social or economical .

Your point on Unity is well noted . Without a united front to take them on headstrong , we might as well end up as track debris .

What we really need to do is publish these sort of articles to the powers that be and see from where this will proceed to .

    Left grasping for breath ,
